Chesterton Academy of the Rogue Valley Annual Gala: Under Her Mantle

On November 8th, the Chesterton Academy of the Rogue Valley community gathered for an extraordinary evening at this year’s Annual Gala: An Evening Under Her Mantle—a night filled with beauty, gratitude, and a shared commitment to faithful Catholic education.

The event opened with a lively cocktail hour, where guests enjoyed a warm atmosphere accompanied by the stunning sounds of Spanish guitar, performed by Grant Ruiz. Delicious hors d'oeuvres were passed by students and dinner was beautifully catered by Las Palmas of Jacksonville, adding vibrant flavor and hospitality to the evening.

A highlight of the night was the inspiring keynote address by Elias Moo, Director of Catholic Education for the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon. His words offered a profound reminder of the importance of forming young people in truth, beauty, and goodness—and the vital role that schools like Chesterton Academy play in that mission.

Guests were also moved by student testimonies and choral performances, which gave a heartfelt glimpse into the life of the school. Their voices and stories illustrated the joy, reverence, and deep formation that Chesterton students experience each day.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of attendees, the Academy successfully raised over $150,000, meeting this year’s event goal. This achievement is a powerful testament to the love and commitment of our community.

However, as we keep tuition low and affordable, our operational needs exceed this amount. The mission continues, and the work is not yet finished. If you feel called to support the Academy further, we warmly invite you to continue giving—every gift directly strengthens our students, our teachers, and our future.

The evening closed with a spirit of unity, gratitude, and renewed purpose. Under Her Mantle truly lived up to its name, reminding us that our school and our families remain lovingly held under the protection and guidance of Our Blessed Mother always leading us to Christ.

Thank you to all who attended, volunteered, donated, prayed, and made this night unforgettable. Chesterton Academy thrives because of you.
